Chef Popcorn Menu Available At ShowPlace ICON

Sticky bun, ginger curry fried chicken, and pad thai sound like menu items you might find at some of your favorite restaurants, but in this case, they’re actually flavors of popcorn. That’s right — the ShowPlace ICON at Seaport, which opened just last month in February 2018 and is touted as Boston’s first luxury movie theatre, is unveiling a Chef Popcorn Menu from local culinary favorites beginning Sunday, April 1st. Each chef will have a month-long run of their featured flavor, meaning the fun will go through the end of March 2019.

Chef Joanne Chang (Flour Bakery, Myers+Chang) will start off the month of April with her sticky bun popcorn with roasted pecans, followed by chef Benjamin Steigers (PABU) with his ginger curry fried chicken popcorn in May and chef Ken Oringer (Little Donkey, Coppa, Toro, UNI) with his pad thai popcorn with roasted peanuts in June. The special treats will be served by the basket for $8.41.
