James Beard Award Finalists for 2018

The James Beard Foundation has whittled down their long list of semifinalists to a lucky (and talented) handful – including a few local folks. The Foundation also pays tribute to local legends, inducting chef, cookbook author and Beard Award winner Jody Adams of Trade, Porto and Saloniki into Who’s Who of Food & Beverage in America, and recognizing Galleria Umberto as one of America’s Classics. The peeps from the Boston area who made the cut are below (you can see the whole list here).Winners in the cookbook categories will be announced on April 27th, while champs in the chef and restaurant categories will be crowned at the James Beard Awards Gala on Monday, May 7th.
