Keep Food Conversations Going & Growing

The Food Voice Kickstarter

A new nonprofit called The Food Voice, a collaboration between Louisa Kasdon of Let’s Talk About Food and Ilene Bezahler of Edible Boston, aims to be New England’s hub for all things food. The organization announced a Kickstarter campaign in mid-September to raise $60,000, which will help them launch a food-focused podcast and expand distribution of their regional publication To Market.

You can make a contribution to support the project with some pretty stellar rewards and incentives. For example, join chef Tony Maws for a field trip to the Union Square Farmer’s Market and Savenor’s followed by a private lunch at The Kirkland Tap & Trotter. Or watch Master Chef Jody Adams prepare a meal in an intimate food tasting demonstration at Porto Restaurant.

Feeling generous? Your pledge of $500 or more could score you dinner and conversation with two local food experts — Ilene Bezahler and Louisa Kasdon themselves — at Summer Shack in Cambridge.

To donate, visit their Kickstarter campaign or visit www.foodvoice.org to learn more about the initiative.
