Sunday, October 8th is shaping up to be a flavor-filled day at WGBH’s Food and Wine Festival with two tasty events, the Brunch Bar from 11:00am-2:00pm and the Food Fight from 5:00-8:00pm.
Bostonians are a brunch-loving bunch, so what better way to wake up than with a Brunch Grand Tasting? Sip on craft cocktails made with local spirits and enjoy dishes from spots like Craigie on Main and Urban Hearth. More than 100 of New England’s best restaurants and beverage producers will be in the Grand Tasting Pavilion, so there’ll be plenty to go around.
In the evening, bites beyond borders is the theme as 15 chefs demonstrate their take on Global Street Food. Taking inspiration from the streets of Bangkok, alleyways of Oaxaca, and the dusty roads of the East Bank, the contenders will transport you with their culinary creativity. Come with an open mouth and open mind (and make sure you’re wearing your critic hat), for only one chef can be named the champion and it’s the crowd’s choice.
