Set your compass to Freepoint Kitchen + Cocktails, opening on Wednesday, April 19th. You can find chef Matthew Gaudet (of former Kendall Square spot West Bridge) at the culinary concept in residence at the Freepoint Hotel. The restaurant will be serving small and shareable globally-inspired breakfast and dinner plates (see below for a smattering) for hotel guests and Cambridge visitors. Beverage Consigliere Alex Howell (previously of Menton) has put together a drink list full of comforts for weary travelers—think: bourbon, rye and a dedicated Manhattan menu, that includes a make-your-own option. Stop in to grab a seat at the 13-seat bar, communal hightops or in the glass-enclosed, open-air atrium known as the Secret Garden. Breakfast hours are 7:00 to 11:00am and dinner runs from 5:00pm to 12:00am. Call the hotel at 617.491.8000 with any questions.
