Searching for that lost shaker of salt? You’ll find it by the margarita glass at a slew of Boston-area bars. Wednesday, February 22nd marks National Margarita Day, giving you good reason (as if you needed it) to get your tequila and lime fix. Restaurants from Southie to the Seaport to Somerville have marg-y concoctions  – some sweet, some spicy, all laden with the necessary liquors – to help you celebrate. Read on to find your own personal Margaritaville amidst the February chill.

Davio’s brings the south of the border sipper across the sea with their Italian margarita. Don Julio silver tequila meets limoncello and Campari in the beverage glass and blood orange juice adds a fruity finish to the cross-cultural cocktail.

On the exclusive margarita list at La Casa de Pedro, the Spanish-Venezuelan restaurant features specialty housemade “Pedro’s Ultimate” mix to make their many marg variations. Grand Marnier and fresh lime juice play a part in options like the Don Pedro’s (with Don Julio blanco tequila) and the margarita Reservada (with Jose Cuervo Reserva).

First it’s spicy, then it’s sweet—in honor of the margarita holiday, Lincoln Tavern will be serving up their Pineapple Picante margarita. Charred pineapple and pineapple juice – that’s the sweet – joins Milagro silver tequila, lime juice and agave nectar. A few dashes of Sriracha raise the heat to round out the cocktail offering.

The guac-loving, taco-slinging, tequila-shooting team at Loco Taqueria has all your margarita needs covered. Bar dude Will Falaro mixes together the Coco, a blend of Maestro Dobel tequila, house triple sec, fresh lime juice and coconut, for a killer margarita.

Next stop: Mexico City. Lone Star dedicates a margarita to the capital with their classic take. The gimlet-style drink keeps it simple – but strong – with blanco tequila, lime and sugar.

Davis Square hosts a margarita duel for the national holiday. At The Painted Burro, the Prickly Pear will go up against the Wildberry Lavendar as part of a margarita flight. Only one drink will make it to the menu and the results are up to you. You can sip on both and cast your vote to get an iced coffee horchata voucher and help determine the winner.

Tamo turns east for margarita inspiration, like their Thai bird chili take on the classic drink. Casamigas silver tequila, fresh lime juice and agave lay the beverage base, amped up by the addition of Thai bird chili peppers and a spiced pepper and salt rim.

Can’t decide which marg to raise in toast? You can make your own at Tico with a Don Julio bar available on the 22nd. There’ll be all the fixings for the drink of your dreams – juices and garnishes galore – to appropriately quench your thirst.
