On Wednesday, June 1st, Bar Mezzana will open its doors in the South End’s burgeoning Ink Block neighborhood. The restaurant, headed up by BL Gruppo alumni Colin Lynch, Heather Lynch and Jefferson Macklin, has made its home in the luxury condo building, Sepia. Guests can expect coastal Italian fare (like daily crudo, homemade pastas and sliced-to-order prosciutto di Parma) from the open kitchen where executive sous chef Ian Maschal joins Lynch. The space boasts a 38-seat bar, manned by beverage director Ryan Lotz and principal bartender Jenna Rycroft (both of No. 9 Park) with Italian wines and classic cocktails leading the charge. Beyond the bar and dining room, Bar Mezzana features private and semi-private dining areas, and a patio expected to open in the summer.
