The 2016 James Beard Awards took place on Monday, May 2nd and Boston’s own Joanne Chang took the cake. Chang won the Outstanding Baker award for her handiwork at Flour Bakery + Café. The culinary entrepreneur has three cookbooks to her name (and a fourth in the works), plus the savory restaurant Myers + Chang. Previous nominations for Chang include Outstanding Pastry Chef and Best Chef: Northeast. A big round of applause to chef Joanne Chang!
