Your Daily (RWB) Dish: Truffle

Nothing like a little hint of truffle to take a dish up a notch. You’d think it’d be hard to find on menus during Restaurant Week Boston but it makes more than a few appearances in quiche and mac-and-cheese, dressings and decadent cream sauces. See below for a handful of restaurants that are adding the luxurious little fungi to their prix fixe offerings.

La Voile – Warm truffle and leek quiche

80 Thoreau – Corn soup with mushrooms, tarragon and truffle crème

Beacon Hill Bistro – Summer corn risotto with truffle butter, chive and parmesan

Serafina – Veal saltimbocca with truffle whipped potatoes, asparagus and marsala jus

Marliave – Macaroni & cheese made with house-cut ziti, black truffle, cream and farmhouse cheeses

Tresca – Truffled Caesar salad, romaine, focaccia croutons and white truffle dressing
