Boston-area nominees include Asta’s Alex Crabb, Carolyn Johnson of 80 Thoreau, Tim Maslow of Ribelle, Michael Pagliarini of Giulia and Sarma’s Cassie Piuma among other culinary whizzes from Maine, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. The chef that gets the most votes in this round will go up against winners from other regions for the title of The People’s Best New Chef in the country.
