Semifinalists for the prestigious James Beard Awards were announced this morning – and we’re happy to report that there are more than a few familiar faces from in and around Boston.
Best New Restaurant – Trade
Outstanding Chef – Jody Adams of Rialto and Trade
Outstanding Pastry Chef – Joanne Chang of Flour and Myers + Chang; Maura Kilpatrick of Sofra Bakery & Café and Oleana
Outstanding Restaurant – Oleana
Outstanding Service – L’Espalier
Outstanding Wine Program – Troquet and No. 9 Park
Best Chef: Northeast – Jamie Bissonnette of Toro and Coppa; Jason Bond of Bondir; Tim Cushman of O Ya; and Matt and Kate Jennings of Farmstead in Providence
Expect to see the list of finalists on Monday, March 19th and, ultimately, this year’s winners at the awards ceremony which will be held at the James Beard House on Monday, May 7th. In the mean time though, you can check out the complete list of semifinalists on the Foundation’s website.
