First Annual American Lamb Pro-Am

BostonChefs.com and the American Lamb Board collaborate once again for a totally lamb-tastic event, the first American Lamb Pro-Am. This time, we’ve gone to the blogosphere, enlisting the culinary prowess of ten food-focused bloggers to help create a slew of lamby goodness. Here’s the deal – we gave ten Boston bloggers a whole leg of lamb, asked them to dream up a baaad-to-the-bone recipe, and then write about the conception, creation and execution on their respective blogs. Now, it’s your turn, as the lamb-loving public, to read the blogs, drool over the pictures and vote for your favorite. The top four vote-getting bloggers will be paired up with an equally lamb-savvy chef – Michael Scelfo of Russell House Tavern, Marc Orfaly of Pigalle, Jason Cheek of KO Prime and Jay Silva of Bambara – and tasked with collaborating on a bigger, better version of the original blogged recipe for the Pro-Am tasting event. Tickets to the Pro-Am, which is scheduled from 3:00 to 5:30pm on Sunday, November 6th at the Hotel Marlowe, only cost $25 apiece and cover tastes of all four lamb dishes, passed hors d’oeuvres from Bambara, Brooklyn brews and wine. Ewe’ve only got a week to vote on whose lamb dish makes the cut so weigh in asap. And check back to see who’ll be competing for the chance to become the first ever American Lamb Pro-Am champion.
