Food & Wine Wants Your Opinion

Having scoured the country coast to coast, the editors of Food & Wine have picked their top ten contenders for Best New Chef but, and here’s where it gets interesting, this year they’re asking their loyal readers and local eaters to weigh in and cast their votes for the People’s Best New Chef. They’ve divvied our fair land into ten regions and named the chefs they feel have an innovative, distinguishing style – and, of course, a knack for creating supremely tasty dishes. There are a few familiar faces in the New England category – Gerard Barbin of Sensing, Jamie Bissonnette of Toro and Coppa, Christopher Coombs of dbar and Deuxave, Joseph Margate of Clink or Robert Sisca of Bistro du Midi. Click through to cast your vote (and to see who’s in the lead). They do request that you vote only for chefs whose food you’ve actually tasted to maintain the integrity of the award. And may the best chef win.
