Bergamot, Coming Soon to Somerville

Evoo has vacated their Beacon Street spot in Somerville, making room for Bergamot to move in. Expected to open mid-March, the restaurant’s kitchen is helmed by Keith Pooler, formerly of Harvest but more recently of Scampo at the Liberty Hotel, while Servio Garcia, of Craigie on Main and Casablanca, will be overseeing operations in the front of the house. The progressive American menu, with apps falling between $9 and $14 and entrees between $19 and $27, might feature dishes like pink peppercorn dusted day boat sea scallops with parsley root puree, oyster mushrooms and sea urchin champagne foam; or slow cooked Jamison lamb shoulder with caramelized spring onion, black trumpet mushrooms, pearl barley and stinging nettle sauce.
