After just over a year, the Downtown Bistro in Lynn closed its doors for good on Saturday, August 23rd. Citing a lack of interest from Lynn locals, owner John Moore will be focusing his energies on his Charlestown eatery, the Navy Yard Bistro, while chef David Fitzgerald and manager Jon Larkin will be working together at Ecco Restaurant, which is scheduled to open towards the end of September in East Boston. Downtown Bistro gift certificates can be redeemed at the Navy Yard Bistro. You can also mail them in for a refund, but why not make a night of it – swing by on one of the few remaining summer evenings and enjoy a bite (on the patio perhaps?) from chef Greg Digiovanni.
