Patriots fans who are tired of tailgating will have a new option come the start of the season, Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro is set to open at Patriot Place towards the end of August. With a creative, globally-inspired menu of perfect-for-sharing small plates, Tastings is helmed by chef Richard Garcia, who has traveled and cooked his way from Boston to Spain and back again (with pit stops in Miami, U.S. Virgin Islands and Guatemala). Garcia, a stickler for freshness if there ever was one, will be using as many locally-sourced ingredients as he can get his hands on – that means you can expect the menu to change with the seasons. Take a spin out to Foxboro – whether the Pats are home or away – Patriot Place has 1.3 million square feet of shopping, live and interactive entertainment, eateries, a four-star hotel and a state-of-the-art theater, for starters. Tastings has secured a patch that overlooks the north end zone of Gillette Stadium with a striking view of the iconic lighthouse and the Patriots Hall of Fame.
