Congratulations to L’Espalier’s Frank McClelland

The tenth time’s a charm for chef Frank McClelland – the oft-nominated chef-owner of L’Espalier was named the 2007 Best Chef: Northeast at the James Beard Foundation Awards. McClelland, whose competition included Boston-based nominees Michael Leviton of Lumière, Marc Orfaly of Pigalle as well as Maine chefs Rob Evans of Hugo’s and Clark Frasier and Mark Gaier of Arrows, joins the ranks of fellow Beard Award winners like Todd English, Gordon Hamersley, Jody Adams, Lydia Shire, Barbara Lynch, Ana Sortun, Ken Oringer, Ming Tsai and Michael Schlow.
