Chef-owner Anthony Caturano launches Cruise the Mediterranean, a new Sunday wine dinner series at Charlestown’s Copia. From 4:00-9:00pm on Sunday evenings, guests can order from regionally-themed menus highlighting cuisines from the countries of the Mediterranean – France, Italy, Spain, Lebanon…you get the idea. Sunday, April 1st – Southern France
Caturano pays tribute to Southern France with a menu of oysters with Mignonette; and bouillabaisse with clams, swordfish, mussels and shrimp in a traditional saffron broth with rouille.
Sunday, April 15th – Northern Italy
Caturano is in familiar territory with Northern Italian menu of Barolo risotto and fontina cheese; veal raviolini with brown butter and sage; and brunello braised beef short rib and potato puree.
Sunday, April 22nd – Lebanon
Guests can enjoy a Lebanon-inspired menu of grape leaves, kibbeh and stuffed squash; and spit roasted lamb leg with roasted potato and peppers.
Sunday, April 29th – Spain
Caturano tries his hand at traditional Spanish fare with a trio of tapas – frittata, fried cod cheek with cherry peppers and roasted pork belly; and paella – Saffron Rice baked with clams, chicken, mussels, shrimp, chorizo and swordfish.
