Piedmonte-themed Hungry Sundays at Rialto

For the October installments of her popular Hungry Sunday series at Rialto, chef Jody Adams offers diners a taste of Piedmonte right in Harvard Square. Every Sunday night during October Adams will be serving a three-course menu that starts off with Piedmonte-inspired nibbles like smoked salmon crostini with potatoes and capers; spinach sformato with parmesan cream; mushroom and prosciutto bruschetta; and duck liver crostini with capers. The centerpiece of the menu is Chicken Marengo – braised chicken thighs with porcini mushrooms and roasted potatoes and for dessert pastry chef Tal Shofman-Schejter will whip up a little moscato sabayon with chestnuts and grapes. Hungry Sundays cost $45 per person, which is quite a bit less than a ticket to Piedmonte, so call Rialto at 617.661.5050 to make reservations.
