Barbara Lynch Set to Open Plum Produce

Having trouble finding perfectly plump white asparagus? Or perhaps you’re not quite sure where you should go for fresh green Californian almonds? Chef Barbara Lynch of The Butcher Shop, B&G Oysters and No 9 Park feels your pain and will be taking matters into her own hands with the opening of Plum Produce in the South End. Lynch’s newest venture, a quaint neighborhood shop on Waltham Street (right next to the Butcher Shop) will bring the best of the local farmers’ markets as well as exotic produce from distant lands to South End epicures. There’ll also be plenty of fresh herbs, local honey, and house-made confitures and pickled vegetables. Plum Produce is scheduled to open in late August and will be open daily from 10:00am-8:00pm.
