Breaking Out the Chopsticks in Chestnut Hill

For the May installments of his weekly Sunday Supper series at The Metropolitan Club in Chestnut Hill, chef Jeffrey Fournier tries his hand at Chinese food. Designed to get family and friends together over large platters, this month’s themed family-style dinners start out with appetizers like duck confit spring rolls and Chinese chicken wings with scallions. The entrée portion of the menu’s got crispy orange beef or shrimp lo-mein with vegetables (both come with vegetable fried rice and bok choy. Desserts take a bit of a detour from the Chinese theme with all-American sundaes. Sunday Suppers cost $30 per adult and $20 for children. They’ll also be making select wines from their extensive list available for a mere $5 per glass. Call the Metropolitan Club at 617.731.0600 to make reservations or to get more information.
