Up the ante on your culinary experience with Oldways Preservation Trust’s culinary and cultural tour of Sicily with Oleana chef Ana Sortun and her husband Chris Kurth, a farmer at The Farm School in Athol. The weeklong trip, scheduled for November 7th through the 14th, takes its cues from the legendary Oldways’ symposium tours for journalists, chefs, retailers and scientists, and includes visits to wine and food producers, cooking lessons, cultural tours, and spectacular meals in beautiful settings. Starting in Catania on the east coast of Sicily and continuing through Modica, Siracusa, Ragusa, Caltagirone, Comiso, Agrigento, Montaperto, Menfi and Palermo, the trip provides an amazing opportunity to learn about wines, olive oils, nuts, cheeses and other Sicilian specialties.
