Wellesley Country Club is looking for its next Executive Banquet Chef. The successful candidate will be a talented culinary professional that will establish and work well with the entire culinary & service team by implementing culinary standards & programs that will continuously strive to increase member & guest satisfaction. Food quality, consistency, menu variety, speed of service and presentation are vital areas of focus. Expected to possess a skill set in all areas of food & beverage service within the club property, a commitment to excellence daily, & service as a true mentor & leader for the culinary family at Wellesley Country Club.
The food & beverage operations are dynamic and robust, with 2 kitchens in a 56,000 sq. foot clubhouse & additional kitchens at the pool facilities. Banquet facilities include a Ballroom that seats up to 225 people, the Kingsbury Room for up to 40, & Board Room for up to 22. Total annual food revenue is $3.1 mm. The mix between a la carte and banquet business is approximately 50/50.
Focus will be on fiscal responsibility while working closely with all Food & Beverage Managers, Catering Directors, Purchasing Agent, Controller & General Management team. This position requires a strong interpersonal relationship & a good work ethic with the ability to “jump in” when needed.
