The cuisine at Townsman is all about Americana, based on local artisan products prepared in methods rooted in tradition by people that inspire them. In the Townsman kitchen you will have the opportunity to work with their in-house pastry program, meet farmers and fisherman as they deliver the day’s catch and work amongst an experienced and professional team. Their menu changes daily based on the season and the bounty of New England. Come be a part of their hand-crafted cuisine that reflects their diverse American culture honoring genuine values and hospitality. They are accessible by T at the Downtown Crossing stop and there is also ample accessible parking available to employees, for those who arrive early enough.

  • To join their team you must have a determined spirit, a drive for excellence and the willingness to work hard every day for yourself and your teammates. Townsman expects you to be positive, to have fun and to always return for your next shift dedicated to improving upon your work the day before.
  • The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of experience in a scratch kitchen. He or she would enjoy being part of a team that helps and supports each other, offers and accepts constructive criticism, asks questions, and is interested in learning more. If you can work in a fast-paced environment, if you enjoy working with others, and you want to improve your skills, they want to hear from you! They welcome good references. If your old employers loved you, they probably will too!
  • Seeking those with a desire to grow and willing to make a long-term commitment. Excellent compensation including “Living Wage” addition to your paycheck (equates to extra week per month). This is a full time position only.
