Tiki Rock, a new craft cocktail and asian tapas bar in downtown Boston, is looking for fun energetic people to join their team. Serving tiki cocktails, Asian and Polynesian Cuisine with a large selection of Raw seafood items. They are currently looking to fill the position of line cook. Applicants should demonstrate a passion for ingredients, technique, discipline, cleanliness, and hospitality. Ideal applicants will also show that they work well with others and support positive teamwork within the kitchen. Previous line experience or a culinary degree is preferred, but a strong desire to learn is paramount and they as a restaurant will teach any skills as long as there is a hunger for knowledge and energy.
At Tiki Rock the kitchen is a small and tight knit group, they work as team to accomplish their daily prep list, cleaning, and service
Job duties include.
- Carefully and safely prepare food according to the chefs direction
- Ensure food safety by dating and rotating food containers, safely storing perishables, and maintaining a sanitary work environment.
- Check pars for shift use, ensuring that correct amounts are pulled for prep and noting items that need replenishment.
- Daily tasting of prepared foods at the beginning of every shift, and tasting during service, this also includes taste checks with chef on daily basis.
