Thistle & Leek Gastropub is looking for a line cook to join their team in the heart of Newton Centre (a three minute walk from the Green Line and several parking lots).
Chefs Kate and Trevor Smith have spent decades of line cooking and serious study. Spanish and Italian flavors are seen across their menus, but they also carry the influences that they absorbed cooking with visionaries Eric Ripert of Le Bernardin, Tony Maws of Craigie Street Bistrot, and Micheal Anthony of Gramercy Tavern, and finally running the kitchens of Coppa and Toro with Jamie Bissonnette and Ken Oringer. They take all the technique and knowledge they have
from many years working in Michelin starred and James Beard Award winning kitchens and present it in the style of a beautiful neighborhood pub.
Hourly pay starts at $21 (negotiable based on experience) in addition to inclusion in the pool for the nightly kitchen admin fee (3% of sales).
We have a small and humble crew looking for a hardworking and passionate person with a desire to learn and work alongside a chef/owner every shift. Health insurance is available for all full time employees.
