The Salty Pig is currently hiring line cooks. The Salty Pig is a busy restaurant focused on charcuterie, house made pastas and pizzas, with a great beer selection, old world wines, and a small but creative cocktail list. We offer a challenging and supportive environment. We are a scratch kitchen, priding ourselves on local, seasonal ingredients. Candidates should be hardworking and motivated with a desire to learn and grow. Experience in cooking pizzas and pastas is a plus, but not required.
LINE COOKS will report directly to the Sous Chefs/ Executive Chef.
Other requirements for this position include:
- A heightened sense of urgency, organization, and resilience under pressure.
- An ability to work with others. communicate, follow instructions, and read recipes.
- An understanding of proper and safe food handling. Servsafe Certification is highly recommended.
The LINE COOK position is a full or part-time, hourly position. After 90 days, All full time employees are eligible for benefits including health care and paid sick time. Compensation is based on experience. We are currently open for Dinner 7 days a week and Lunch 3 days a week.
