Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to HotSos requests in a promptly manner.
- Perform ordering of daily VIP Amenities and check with Front Office and Sales Departments to ensure delivery in an efficient and timely manner.
- Respond to all guest inquiries in a helpful, professional, and timely manner.
- Input all daily micros’ information and complete Room Service revenue paperwork.
- Answer phone and take orders following Langham Hotels and Forbes Standards.
- Be familiar with Hotel facilities and services including Restaurant and Banquets’ upcoming events to answer guest questions.
- Work closely with Front Office and Housekeeping departments to ensure maximum guest satisfaction for deliveries.
- Setup Room Service trays and tables for orders as needed.
- Understanding of emergency procedures for both the department and the Hotel.
- Maintain the tidiness of the Room Service office and replenish stationary and any other collateral items.
- Check General Storeroom Requisition with server to follow par levels.
- Check and maintain H.A.C.C.P. Log
- Maximize daily average Room Service check through effective recommendations and up-selling.
Qualifications:
- Use oral communication to perform work answering telephone calls and guest questions
- Digital dexterity, e.g. using computer keyboard, Micros POS system, and HotSOS.
- Make general decisions in the absence of specific directions, e.g. prioritizing workload, adjusting quote times, and requesting manager assistance
- Perform activities requiring sustained concentration and multitasking
- Previous experience in luxury five-star standards a plus
