The Franklin – Executive Chef

The beautiful Groundswell Cafe Bakery is expanding and currently in search of an Executive Chef for our new boutique French dining concept, The Franklin in Bristol, RI. We have recently promoted our current chef to culinary director as we continue to expand around New England, allowing us to bring on an additional Executive Chef. Must have experience with high end French cuisine and/or fine dining. This is a 46 seat boutique restaurant with full liquor. **Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled Executive Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about culinary arts, possess strong leadership skills, and have a proven track record of creating exceptional dining experiences.

**Duties:**

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Develop and implement menus that meet quality standards and customer preferences
  • Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Monitor food costs and work towards minimizing waste
  • Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events or menu changes

**Experience:**

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations and best practices
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Experience in menu planning, catering, kitchen management, and inventory management
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent required
