Are you passionate about food and enjoy interacting with people? We’re seeking a friendly and energetic Deli Clerk to join our team at The Dirty Italian.
Responsibilities:
- Providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their deli orders which includes making sandwiches and salads.
- Preparing and slicing various deli meats and cheeses.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Operating deli equipment safely and efficiently.
- Occasional catering events after hours. Must be able to work 2 events per quarter.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic food handling knowledge
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Outgoing, great communication skills with peers
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Knowledge of basic math for handling transactions accurately
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Previous experience in a deli, restaurant, or food service environment is preferred
- ServSafe (Preferred)
- Driver’s License (Preferred)
