Tasting Counter – Cooks

We are looking for impact-focused learners to join our team of hospitality-driven cooks.

Tasting Counter cooks are the face of our restaurant during our lunch and dinner services. With no front and back-of-house distinction, our cooks are trained in a diverse range of roles during service and in the restaurant as a whole. This position is ideal for those looking to expand their hospitality development in a setting that challenges traditional restaurant roles. This position integrates daily prep tasks, working lunch and dinner services in our open kitchen setting, and engaging in learning workshops and education.

Skills and Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of restaurant experience and advanced knife skills are preferred but kindness, empathy, intellectual curiosity, and self-awareness are paramount. Ability to follow recipes, excellent communication skills, hospitality mindset, and aspiration to learn and grow are also required. A key element to Tasting Counter’s success is our systems-based approach to operations. All staff are required to learn, utilize, and follow checklists and prep lists.
