We are looking for driven individuals to join our team as Beverage & Service Coordinators. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with natural wine, distinct premium sake and local beer, and creative non-alcoholic beverages. This position is well-suited for individuals who are passionate about food, hospitality, and beverage, interested in tackling a wide range of challenges including mastering our unique style of service, learning Tasting Counter systems, and assisting with beverage and service administrative duties.
Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of restaurant or natural wine experience preferred but kindness, empathy, intellectual curiosity, and self-awareness are paramount. Excellent communication skills, hospitality mindset, and aspiration to learn and grow are also required. A key element to Tasting Counter’s success is our systems based approach to operations. All staff are required to learn, utilize, and follow checklists and prep lists. Tasting Counter is an innovative, from scratch restaurant in Somerville, Massachusetts, offering multi-sensory dining experiences focusing on New England ingredients and influenced by culinary techniques and traditions from around the world. The philosophy of the restaurant is to establish the shortest distance between the production of food and the dining guest. Guests are seated at a counter around our open kitchen, directly facing the preparation of an inspired tasting menu, paired with all-natural wines, beers, sakes, and non-alcoholic beverages.
