
T’ahpas 529 is a Spanish and Mediterranean restaurant in Melrose featuring Chef Jay Murray‘s innovative approach to cuisine. We are seeking cooks interested in 4-day, 40 hour weeks available to work weeknights and weekend brunch and dinner. We are closed Mondays. We own 2 independent restaurants and a food truck, and we’re opening 2 more soon, so there will always be room for growth, both within T’ahpas 529, itself, when a sous chef role becomes available, and beyond, in our expanding company. On your typical day, you will arrive early afternoon, begin prep on a general list, not just whatever station you might be working, maybe help dream up a special or 2, set up a station, work the line, break down, then leave by around 8:30 on Sunday, 9 weekdays and 10 or so weekends. The pay is inclusive of a cooks’ fee on the guest check. Ask anyone who’s worked for Jay: it’s a great gig and a huge learning opportunity.
