Sycamore – Sous Chef

Sycamore, a neighborhood bistro located on Beacon Street  in Newton Centre, is searching for a qualified, motivated sous chef to join their team. They are conveniently located along the Green Line D Branch, just past Boston College; street parking is available.

They are looking for a hard working, creative and eager individual, who can be an integral part of menu development, purchasing & food costs.

The menu focuses on locally and responsibly sourced ingredients and changes daily. You’ll be making homemade pasta, butchering whole animals and making charcuterie. They’re looking for someone who is passionate about food with a positive, can-do attitude. who is also looking for a challenge and professional growth.

Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience. Health and dental insurance is available after 90 days; $600/year for knives, clogs, cookbooks, fancy meals out, plus two weeks paid vacation.  They’re open for dinner service (no brunch or lunch!) seven days a week. Your schedule is written out weeks in advance. Closed on New Year’s Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
