Sarma is a progressive Middle Eastern restaurant serving meze, or small plates, and a small but carefully curated dessert menu including house-made frozen yogurt, Greek-style donuts and Middle Eastern-inspired toppings with unusual ingredients and exciting spice combinations.
They are looking for a part-time pastry cook to work in a kind, conscientious, high-energy environment.
Candidate should enjoy working independently and have a strong knowledge of dough production, both savory and sweet, as well as a pastry background.
At least 2 years work experience and/or a culinary education/background is preferred but not necessary for the right person. Sarmites think outside the box and are open to all kinds of experiences.
If you are interested in learning more about making gyro bread, pita, lamejun, crackers and creative renditions of desserts such as bisteeya, kunefe, baklava and mahalabiya this might be the gig for you.
