Rowes Wharf Sea Grille – Seasonal Server

Rowes Wharf Sea Grille is seeking a full time seasonal server!

This position is responsible for preparing for service, and to serve the guest in a Five Star manner. Assure highest quality of food and beverage by working in an efficient and conscious manner, as well as maintaining and developing the highest service standards possible.


  • Assist with the greeting and seat all guests creating a good first impression.
  • Set up and breakdown of all assigned tables according to the managers’ direction.
  • Completion of all opening and closing side work.
  • Provide the highest service standards possible to all guests.
  • Know descriptions of all the wines, beers, and cocktails, and be able to make recommendations.
  • Service of cocktails, wine and champagne in accordance with safe alcohol service standards.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the bar, server stations, and equipment.
  • Meet all guest request and expectations with a professional attitude.
  • Maintain excellent personal hygiene and wear a perfect uniform at all times.
  • Keep tables clean throughout the evening.
  • Adhering to the proper cash handling procedure including tip reporting, due backs, and bank.
  • Complete all closing procedures.


The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Must be 21 years of age or older.


  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

  • Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisor and fellow employees.
  • Excellent organization and acute attention to detail
  • Physical requirements – ability to stand for extended periods of time, or walking within the hotel operation, which will include lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying up to 20 pounds.
  • Evening availability required
  • Familiarity and knowledge of all departments within the hotel.
  • Ability to manages conflict effectively and work diligently to obtain a mutually agreeable solution
  • Ability to consistently display courtesy, etiquette, warmth and enthusiasm on the phone and in person
  • Superior time management and task prioritization
  • Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in professional manner
  • Willingness to assist co-workers and guests beyond normal job duties

  • Ability to follow Universal Standards, including Guest Etiquette, Employee Etiquette, Phone Etiquette, Service Etiquette, and Ownership
  • Due to the seasonal nature of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on the season, hours may be reduced at any time.
