Located in what used to be a local historic landmark in Somerville, the new Rosebud is a down-to-earth casual restaurant and bar serving regional American food. A definitive neighborhood joint in Davis Square, the Rosebud offers a laid back yet sophisticated setting. With over 100 seats in the main dining room, a 22 seat bar and an outdoor porch, the restaurant offers a variety of dining options. The beverage program includes an extensive beer list with several barrel aged beers, a comprehensive collection of American Whiskey as well as a carefully selected wine list. Cocktails will range from classic, prohibition-era recipes to modern re- interpretations of tried and true cocktails.
While restaurant experience is preferred, it is not required. They are willing to train the right candidate. What are they looking for? Someone who enjoys providing the highest level of service and hospitality to their guests while working in a fast paced environment. Candidates should have strong communication skills, understand the importance of sense of urgency and be able to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and collected demeanor. In addition to working in unison with the Rosebud’s management team, the host plays an important role in managing reservations and managing the flow of guests into the dining room. This is a dynamic position that requires one to multi-task, be creative and be prepared to engage with guests as they arrive and depart the restaurant.
