Revival Cafe+Kitchen is looking for an Executive Chef/Director of Culinary Operations – call it what you want, but they’re looking for someone to oversee the culinary team for the entire operation. If you are looking for a clipboard job, this is not it. That being said, organization skills are a must. You will oversee all production for the three Revival locations (with a fourth opening on Newbury Street Fall 2019), as well as The Mothership, a rotating lunch concept that flips into a bar at night. This a big job and only adults need apply. If you like finishing the night with a bunch of shift drinks and heading out to Chinatown till the wee hours of the morning, this is not the job for you. Clearly experience is required – how much experience will really depend on the person. This is not a Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 job. That being said, this is not your typical work till 2am chef position either. Your day will generally start earlier and end earlier. Those with kids or a family or those thinking about that and know the ridiculousness that is their industry is when it comes to work life balance, will be happy to know that they value that. Here at Revival, not only do they talk about work/life balance, they live it (or at least try hard). But this is a big job. Leaders only. If you are an amazing cook, but can’t lead a team, don’t apply. If you are a hot head, or a yeller, that’s a pass. They are a basically 99% in-house, scratch cooking. They bake all of their own breads, laminations, meats, dressings, soups…I mean, basically everything. Creativity and the ability to cook different cuisines are paramount to success. They are a fun, great group, building something special, and they are looking for the next piece to help them put this all together.
Revival offers Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance after 90 days of employment and 401k after one year of employment.
