
Prairie Fire is currently hiring rounds cooks during an exciting new chapter at the restaurant.
At Prairie Fire, they offer simple yet thoughtful food that is meaningful to the region, sourcing great local New England ingredients. A large wood-burning oven provides the foundation for the menu, with the food focusing on wood oven sourdough pizza, charred vegetables, whole roasted meats & fish, and handmade pastas. They recently renovated the restaurant and reopened to the public. With a reinvigorated purpose, they look forward to welcoming back the Coolidge Corner & Brookline community through the doors.
Requirements:
To join their team you must have a determined spirit, a drive for excellence and the willingness to work hard every day for yourself and your teammates. They expect you to be positive, to have fun, and to always return for your next shift dedicated to improving upon your work the day before. The position requires great passion for technique and traditional methods of cooking from all of the bounty that New England has to offer.
The position has responsibilities such as:
- Maintaining quality of products
- Working in conjunction with the Executive Chef
- Building teamwork among the cooks and chefs
- Keeping a positive attitude
- Food prep experience preferred
- Line Cook experience preferred
- Culinary degrees highly regarded
Compensation will be based on experience with a starting wage of $21-23 per hour.
Full and part time applicants will be considered. The restaurant is accessible by the T located on the “C-Line” branch of the Green Line.
