Ovenbird Cafe – Catering Coordinator & Event Manager

Ovenbird Cafe is seeking an individual to book, plan, and manage its off-site full service catered events, corporate catering, and bulk pick-up orders.

Interested persons should be a motivated, self-starter, can work independently and is natural at selling our products and services. Experience in event planning, and catering sales is ideal as well as the ability to work on social media platforms, and a general love for the industry and food.

While there is an independent nature to the work, you will be part of a team, where you will be working alongside the Owner & Executive Chef, Pastry Chef, and FOH staff members.

The job includes:

  • Managing catering inquiries & maintaining relationships with clients
  • Actively pursuing new private and corporate leads
  • Creating marketing strategies to promote special events and upcoming catering opportunities
  • Keeping in contact with customers as well as managing smaller pick-up orders in the shop
  • Manage and execute booked events, includes staffing and organizing jobs
  • Keep up on trends, and help with menu design and product offerings
  • Base Salary + commission
