Osteria Posto is looking for a passionate, talented, and ambitious Sous Chef to join the culinary team within the Alpine Restaurant Group. Located in Waltham, their kitchen provides a high-energy work environment with a diverse and ever-changing menu focused on Regional Italian Cuisine. The food is American at the core and heavily influenced by the regions of Emilia-Romagna, Bologna, Campagna, just to name a few. They source local products and use a variety of cooking techniques.
- Cooking and preparation of dishes
- Helping the Chef and cooks oversee food production
- Expediting service
- Training others to execute the menu
- Menu concept and development
- Placing daily food orders
- Controlling food and labor costs
- Being responsible for all daily kitchen operations
Successful candidates will be self-motivated, attentive to detail, and great at multitasking. Candidates do not need to have previous Sous Chef experience, but they must lead by example and show a willingness to learn and grow. Applicants must be committed and willing to put in the effort to create great food each day. Candidates will be asked to do a day-long stage.
