Osteria Posto – Executive Chef

Osteria Posto is looking for a passionate, talented, and ambitious Executive Chef to join the culinary team within the Alpine Restaurant Group. Located in Waltham, the kitchen provides a high-energy work environment with a diverse and ever-changing menu focused on Regional Italian Cuisine. The food is American at the core and heavily influenced by the regions of Emilia-Romagna, Bologna, Campagna, just to name a few. They source local products and use a variety of cooking techniques.

Duties include:

  • Daily food preparation
  • Assisting the Sous Chefs and cooks to oversee food production
  • Expediting service
  • Training others to execute the menu
  • Menu concept and development
  • Placing daily food orders
  • Controlling food and labor costs
  • Responsible for all daily kitchen operations

Successful candidates will be self-motivated, attentive to detail, and great at multitasking. Candidates need not have previous Executive Chef experience but must have at least 2-3 years of Sous Chef experience. They must lead by example and show a willingness to learn and grow. Applicants must be committed and willing to put in the effort to create great food each and every day. Candidates will be asked to do a day-long stage.
