Oak + Rowan is seeking a Pastry Sous Chef to join the pastry team, led by award winning Pastry Chef Michelle Boland. The restaurant, which is located in the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston, is the third addition to the Caswell Restaurant Group.
Pastry Sous Chef candidates must have a minimum 2 years of experience, culinary school preferred. We are looking for an individual who is creative, passionate, driven and has a love of food. Applicants should be task orientated, take direction, work well under pressure and have ability to lead in Pastry Chefs absence. The Pastry Sous Chef is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling and directing the work of pastry department, ensuring superior quality and consistency. Oak + Rowan’s pastry department prides itself on all items made in house, from bread service to ice creams, as well as having the ability to continually learn.
