Night Shift Lovejoy – FOH & BOH Positions

Night Shift Lovejoy is a restaurant and brewery on the water at Lovejoy Wharf. Their culture is rooted in a genuine desire to CRAFT BETTER–beer, food, seltzer, experiences and connections. Every position is responsible for embodying the CRAFT BETTER mentality, communicating it within the team and to guests. Lovejoy Wharf is reopening in May, and they couldn’t be more excited to welcome guests back to the Taproom.

Night Shift Brewing is looking for energetic, positive, hospitality oriented individuals to join them as Servers, Bartenders, Host + Support Staff at the Lovejoy Wharf Taproom. This is a great opportunity for a friendly, hardworking individual to join the team. They look for individuals with an interest and passion for beer and guest service.

Responsibilities and Duties
Service: Team members are responsible for many aspects for creating a great guest experience including welcoming and greeting guests in a timely manner, taking orders from and serving food to guests, maintaining a positive, friendly attitude.

Teamwork: Team members will communicate with all restaurant staff and work collaboratively with all team members to provide the best experience.This position will work closely with other front of house teams as well as management and the back of house.

Enthusiasm: Team members will have a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Previous work experience involving customer service in a food industry is appreciated.

Physical Requirements:
The work for this position is performed in a kitchen / taproom environment and requires occasional trips to storage location. The production aspects of this job take place in a working restaurant / brewery environment, which involves the following:

  • Hot, cold, steamy, foggy, wet conditions
  • Noise (up to 90 dB)
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals, hot water, cold water, hazardous gases, and pressurized vessels
  • Exposure to machinery with moving parts
  • Wet floors
  • Occasional entry into confined spaces
  • Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing
  • Seeing, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling

 

Night Shift Brewing is also looking for energetic, positive, culinary oriented individuals to join them as Line Cooks, Prep Cooks and Dish Team at the Lovejoy Wharf Taproom.

Qualified Line Cooks are organized, detail oriented, hard working and continually look for opportunities to learn about both food & beer/brewing. They execute all culinary responsibilities, as well as work well within a team. Line Cooks follow established culinary, health and sanitation protocols, while also contributing to the growth and evolution of the kitchen team. Line Cooks report to the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine.

Night Shift Essential Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a positive, productive work environment for all LJW Kitchen staff
  • Work with with passion, integrity, and knowledge
  • Manage time effectively and meet all job responsibilities
  • Follow Night Shift Brewing’s policies and procedures, including those for health, safety and sanitation.
  • Industry specific job responsibilities reflecting the culinary nature of this position
  • Seek meaningful connection with team members in a kitchen environment
  • Be responsible and accountable for a clean working environment during all shifts
  • Effectively prepare all dishes according to recipes, plating and standardization guides
  • Knowledge of all equipment and ingredients related to culinary operations
  • Communicate any supply / ingredients needs in a timely manner.
  • Commitment to understand all knowledge of food and sanitation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area for food production
  • Support mise en place and preparation across Night Shift Lovejoy
  • Other duties as assigned

Schedule: Present in the restaurant kitchen 4-5 shifts per week, including evenings and / or weekends
