Night Market in Harvard Square is in search of their next Prep Beast to help support their team of misfit toys. Night Market pushes Asian street food inspired small plates and works with smaller local farms as much as possible; expect to take Western technique to Asian flavors and Asian ideas to Western ingredients.
As the Prep Beast (aka Prep Cook) you are one of the cornerstones of the small 48 seat restaurant. 90% of the work happens during morning prep, and you must be organized and efficient, as well as a self motivated individual. You are the first person responsible for the construction and balance of flavor in all of the dishes. Organization and attention to detail is key – absent minded or sloppy applicants need not apply.
Night Market cooks can expect to have a minimum or two days off in a row most of the time, one of which may be Mondays (as they are closed on Mondays), a fair wage, and a monthly cook book stipend after 90 days on the job.
To be considered for the job, email a cover letter and your resume to the address below. They look forward to meeting you!
