Nahita – Barback

Nahita is seeking a barback!

To support the bar team by polishing glassware and cleaning all necessary bar equipment, to provide friendly and efficient service at all times.

II. Main duties

  1. To have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all items listed on each menu including ingredients, preparation and serving methods.
  2. To provide a speedy, efficient and professional level of service at all times.
  3. To ensure that the bar counter and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  4. To assist with all wet stock deliveries and help transfer stock from one department to another.
  5. To assist water and wine runner and maintain a constant flow of clean glasses when working in Nahita Restaurant dispense bar.
  6. To attend all compulsory training sessions.
  7. To be hands-on and present in the bar at all times during service.
  8. To ensure that all service ware is properly cared for, cleaned and prepared for every service.
  9. To maintain the highest possible standards of personal hygiene and appearance and to be dressed in clean correct uniform at all times.
  10. To ensure the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene and safety at work at all times in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1977.
  11. To report any complaints or comments immediately to the Bar or duty manager.
  12. To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned and be prepared to work in other establishments owned by the company.
  13. To work as a team player at all times and be prepared to be flexible in order to ensure that operations are always as efficient and profitable as possible.

To support the seamless running of the restaurant by providing a highly efficient and effective service, ensuring standards are maintained and customer needs are anticipated. To establish and maintain good working relationships amongst the restaurant and the kitchen team.

II. Essential Job Functions

  • To arrive at work for scheduled shifts and be punctual, always following company absence, lateness procedure if unable to do so.
  • To provide a speedy, efficient and professional level of service at all times.
  • To treat company property with due care and attention.
  • To attend meetings / training sessions as required by the management team.
  • Adhering to and maintaining cleaning checklists and carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • To work as a team player at all times and be prepared to be flexible on order to ensure that operations are always efficient and profitable as possible.
  • To be aware of restaurant / company skills and standards, ensuring these are followed.
  • To be responsive to any guest’s request.
  • To control section during service, taking orders and issuing bills.
  • To inform managers of any complaints / comments / perceived issues.
  • To be hands-on and present in the restaurant at all times during service.
  • To maximize sales opportunities through good service and table scanning.
  • Become a professional, valued member of the team with a flexible approach to improving customer experience.
