Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Italian cuisine, a creative flair, and a dedication to culinary excellence. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality of our food, mentoring staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes with precision and care.
- Lead, train, and supervise line cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring high standards are met.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development and specials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and presented beautifully.
- Help manage inventory, order supplies, and reduce kitchen waste.
- Uphold all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a line cook in a busy kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of Italian cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Leadership and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
