Locke Bar & Restaurant, a classic American bar & grill, in Cambridge Kendall Square is now hiring. Opening soon, we are looking for a sous chef and line cooks to join our team. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience working the line in mid to high volume restaurants.
This is a role for someone looking for growth. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to learn how to effectively manage a kitchen, place orders, and develop menus. Using thoughtfully sourced ingredients and applying both classic and contemporary cooking techniques, we plan to offer our guests a taste of how our commitment to excellence can elevate your familiar favorites.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and can take direction. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Working multiple stations
- Collaborating on specials
- Ordering and receiving
- Set-up and break-down of station
- Working to improve the culture & quality of the kitchen every day
- Compensation is determined by experience w/ set reviews to maintain employee success
- Both morning and evening shifts are available and weekend availability required
