Little Dipper, an American restaurant in Jamaica Plain, is seeking prep cooks & experienced line cooks to join their team. This is a busy, all-day restaurant with a dynamic menu drawing inspiration from all over the country.
The ideal candidate will be able to positively contribute to their team while maintaining your own station & executing the menu as dictated by the chef. You will ensure the proper execution of the menu, up to your high standard, in the absence of the head chef. The ideal candidate should find joy and inspiration in executing anything from their dynamic, regionally inspired menu, be it traditional Americana menu staples or dishes inspired by immigrant cuisine. Experience with classic culinary technique and fine dining is a plus. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of relevant cooking experience. Compensation is commensurate with experience level.
In addition to base hourly and salary rates, Little Dipper will apply a 3.75% Hospitality Administrative Fee to every bill. This fee will be distributed solely to the BOH staff (dishwashers, cooks, prep cooks, chefs) in an ongoing effort to help address the wage discrepancy between front and back of house employees. On average, this fee will lead to a $2-3 hourly increase for every back of house employee.
