Ledges Restaurant, a fine dining restaurant and one of the finest restaurants in North Conway, New Hampshire is seeking a strong leader and experienced Full-Time/Year Round Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. Ledges Restaurant is located at the White Mountain Hotel & Resort which is a full service resort hotel. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef with daily operations, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen runs smoothly. A passion for cooking and a strong leader/mentor to the team is required. A strong work ethic, lead role and management skills and teaching and mentoring of the team is highly desired. Ledges serves breakfast daily, lunch, Sunday Brunch and dinner daily, as well as on-site catering functions for weddings, corporate meeting and social events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef with menu planning and development
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Ensure food quality and presentation to meet standards
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of menu items, ensuring consistency
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures
- Assist with scheduling and payroll as needed
- Assist with inventory and ordering of food and supplies
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and methods
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Strong mentor and training capabilities
- Ability to Multitask
- Ability to work Nights, Weekends, and Holidays
- Must be able to lift 50 Lbs.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
